Day 173: Can it really wait until later?

In this blog I am continuing with self-correction and self-commitment statements from Day 172: Procrastination & Laziness.

When and as I see that I am not physically moving myself within opportunities to become self-disciplined, self-willed, and self-motivated to get things done, I stop and breathe. I realize that is in the moment where something can get done that I have the opportunity to will myself to do it and within this, I will show myself that self-discipline, self-will, and self-motivation are not simply ideas, imaginations in my mind and/or ways of being that are separate from me and instead real, actual physical living expressions of my potential.

I commit myself to move on and within opportunities where I can practice self-discipline, self-will, and self-motivation by when and as I see something in the moment that can be done to do it in that moment.

When and as I see that I am telling myself that I can do something later, I will do something at a better time, that I have plenty of time to get things done, and/or things that require to be done can wait, I stop and breathe. I realize that within these words I am waiting for some date in the future to get things done and as I wait, I become bored and will decide on activities to entertain myself with while I am waiting my time out. This makes no practical, realistic sense for me to put myself on hold and place myself in a holding-pattern while I wait for something that most likely won't manifest in the future when I could simply move myself to get it done here in this moment.

I commit myself to when and as moments come up that I can move myself to get things done - my assignments, my chores, and other responsibilities - to simply do them and no longer accept and allow myself to give myself over to my voice, as my mind, where I tell myself that these things can wait. I remind myself of the future-projection, waiting, boredom, and entertainment pattern/habit that I have allowed myself to be caught up in and how this has limited me - and from here, PUSH myself to stop and break-out of this pattern/habit and commit myself to physically moving myself into and as my utmost physical potential.

When and as I see myself looking at my chores, my responsibilities, my assignments, and/or my projects through my minds-eyes, as indicated by me seeing a huge accumulation, experiencing a too-muchness and/or telling myself that it is 'too late' for me to work on what must be done, I stop and breathe. I realize that these chores, responsibilities, assignments, and projects that I have allowed to accumulate are what they are - they are simply areas in my living that require a solution - where, the solution is my actual physical movement and applying myself.

I commit myself to stopping looking at my chores, responsibilities, assignments, projects and other tasks through my minds-eyes by when and as I see these tasks as HUGE/more/bigger/greater-than myself and my ability, reminding myself of my tendency to project small points requiring to be directed into BIG problems. Within this, I commit myself to stop the excuses and to stop making it easy for myself to move away, ignore, and/or attempt to hide from what is required to be done and instead will myself into physical action to work on and take care of chores, responsibilities, assignments, projects and other tasks.

When and as I see that I am looking for, attempting to access and/or pulling up excuses, reasons and/or inner-dialogue responses for me allowing myself to go into a mind and physical state of depression because what I perceive to be an overwhelming accumulation of things that are required to be done, I stop and breathe. I realize that my apparent depression is a cover-up for me just not wanting to do something and me simply being lazy. Instead of me being honest with myself about this laziness, seeing that it's not best for me or anyone else and making changes in how I make moment-to-moment and day-to-day situations, I actually -make- myself pity myself and 'feel bad' for myself.

I commit myself to no longer look for, attempt to access, and/or pull up reasons from within me as to why I am overwhelmed and thus apparently allowed to go into depression, self-pity, and 'feeling bad' for myself. By slowing myself down, breathing, and observing myself, I can see myself going into these kinds of inner-dialogues and see that it's an act - a cover-up, a drama, a temper tantrum - to hide the fact that I do not want to do something. So, from here, I make the decision to no longer accept and allow myself to act out the lies and I will myself to stop being lazy by applying myself. There are no more excuses here.

When and as I see that I am considering waiting around for something to happen that will change me and/or imagining a future-projection of myself as a person that has the self-discipline and self-will to get a task done later that could just as easily be done here and now, I stop and breathe. I realize I can't wait around to be some imaginary person who's miraculously developed self-discipline and where I have used these miraculous skills to get everything done in some imaginary living experience in the future. I realize that this isn't going to 'just happen' for myself and that I must actively practice and physically develop self-discipline and self-will for myself. There is no 'Later' - 'Later' is an illusion.

I commit myself to stop placing myself into projections of who/what I imagine myself to be in the future - and within this, I commit myself to stop waiting around for something to happen that will change me. I see that I would like to be a person that is self-disciplined and self-willed - this is what I want for myself as I see that self-discipline and self-will will assist and support me with walking out of self-limitation and walking into my potential. I commit myself to practice and thus physically develop self-discipline and self-will for myself DAILY where if I see a commitment, responsibility, task, project, and/or activity come up that can physically be done/worked-on in that moment, I will myself to do it and to no longer accept and allow myself to put it off for Later.

Day 171: Is Appearance Everything?

Here continuing with self-correction and self-commitment statements from self-forgiveness on Day 170: Appearance Is Everything.

SELF-CORRECTION AND SELF-COMMITMENT STATEMENTS

When and as I see myself becoming possessed/obsessed with/by physical beauty, as indicated by me going into the ways that I can make myself appear beautiful/pretty/attractive/sexy to others in order to have an easier life and/or get something I want from others, I stop and I breathe. I realize that I am participating in this Beauty possession/obsession from a point of desiring positive experiences and controlling/manipulating others to get these experiences - and I allow this participation because in my mind as thoughts, imaginations, beliefs, and ideas, I show myself that my life will be easier and I will get the things that I want if I am beautiful/pretty/attractive/sexy - which, requires much less effort than actually applying myself to develop skills, educate myself, and expand myself so that I am able to create a life for myself and by myself that I am satisfied with.

I commit myself to stop going into thoughts, imaginations, and possessions/obsessions with beauty and physical attractiveness by when and as the thoughts and/or imaginations come up in regards to beauty/physical-attractiveness, to make the decision to not participate - and I remind myself that I have been in these thoughts over-and-over-and-over again - it always begins and ends the same with me desiring a specific outcome, me showing myself how I can get this outcome via my physical appearance, and me acting it out in physical reality with real physical consequences. Within this, I commit myself to: instead of going into the ways that I can change/improve my appearance to improve my living, I look at the ways in which I can improve upon and change myself via education, learning new skills, and self-awareness - and to stop limiting myself. I also commit myself to look deeper into why I desire to control and manipulate others by when and as the points come up in-relation to how I can get others to do 'what I want' and/or how I see and/or would like things to work out as per my mind-fantasy, I breathe, slow myself down, observe my thought-process that got me to this point.

When and as I see that I am allowing myself to go into the belief that if I am beautiful, as per my mind's definition of physical beauty, that my life will be easier, that I will not have to worry about others judging me nor speaking negatively about me, that there will be more opportunities for me, and that I will 'fit in' better, I stop and breathe. I realize that I am seeing how I am/have been allowing my programming to direct me and that I am communicating to myself about how I judge myself, limit myself, and attempt to force my physical body to align with my mind definitions/pictures/ideas/imaginations/expectations of physical beauty - and I do this from a point of fear - fear of getting to know myself and express myself.

I commit myself to stop going into my beliefs about beauty and how it will benefit me if/when/as I allow my programming to direct me to align myself to my mind definitions/pictures/ideas/imaginations/expectations of physical beauty. First, I remind myself that it's physically impossible to shape my body as per my mind's definitions/pictures/ideas/imaginations/expectations - I have tried and tried and tried and this has compromised me and my physical body. Next I use the tools of writing, self-forgiveness, and self-correction for the Fears in relation to myself that are coming up. And finally, I allow myself the opportunity to get to know me - as me - instead of me as an image that I am attempting to project.

When and as I see that I am seeking out positive energetic experience via Beauty and/or fleeing from negative energetic experiences via 'Ugly' as indicated by me going into looking at ways that I can be more physically attractive to others and attempting to hide/mask/suppress/alter what I see about myself that is/may be unattractive to others, I stop and breath. I realize that I am limiting myself when and as I participate in these behaviors, patterns and polarities. I additionally realize that I am not standing and directing myself to create an admirable life for myself by paying attention to myself, accepting myself, respecting myself, and caring for myself.

I commit myself to stop seeking out positive energetic experiences of attention, admiration, acceptance, respect, and love from others and within this, stop attempting to make myself more physically attractive to others - and I commit myself to stop fleeing from the fear of having a negative experience of disregard, being ignored, being loathed, being bullied and/or being 'cast-out' by others. Instead of entering into negative and positive polarities and allowing myself to be directed by my mind in response to my wants, desires, fears, beliefs, and ideas, I allow myself to trust myself to direct myself in an admirable way - as what is best - and within this, trust my ability to pay attention to myself, accept myself, respect myself, and care for myself.

Day 167: Be Brutally Honest With Me - Part 2

Here continuing with Self-Correction and Self-Commitment from Day 166: Be Brutally Honest With Me - Part 1.

SELF-CORRECTION AND SELF-COMMITMENT STATEMENTS

When and as I see that I am about to enter into an agreement to be brutally honest with another, I stop and breathe. I realize that honesty does not equal stability nor does it assist and support others with awareness, understanding, and working on solutions – especially when approaching the ‘honest information’ from a point of reaction. So, how I share honesty with others when working through a problem is no different from how I would approach honesty with myself when working on a problem where I clear myself of reactions so that I can look at the problem realistically and construct practical, trustworthy solutions.

I commit myself to stopping automatically responding to others requests for brutal honesty by breathing, slowing myself down, and allowing myself to take a moment to look at the known and/or potential outcomes to see if it’s best for myself and others for me to respond or if it’s best for me assist and direct the situation to understanding, awareness, clarity, and stability.

When and as I see that I am quickly going into an assumption about how an event is going to play out positively if/when/as I am honest, I stop and breathe. I realize that I have not allowed myself to slow down and look at events/scenarios/situations – I go right into my mind and speed ahead to the part where everything almost always works out for the best.

I commit myself to put a guard on my mouth, to stop going over the information within/as situations, scenarios, and events quickly and to take the time to sort through what’s going on with breathing, slowing myself down, looking at events/situations/scenarios practically, asking questions, and sharing perspectives on what’s going on as well as potential solutions that I see.

When and as I see that I am experiencing shock because something happening in the external world is not working and/or not in alignment with my beliefs that I have stored within and as me as information, I stop and breathe. I realize that I am showing myself that my belief is not real. Instead of going into my mind to distract myself with figuring out what went wrong, I direct myself to the physical act of writing out the beliefs, the consequences of my beliefs, self-forgiveness for my beliefs, and self-correction so that I do not continue with the pattern.

I commit myself to stopping myself from going into a shocked experience by STOPPING, breathing, stopping myself from going into my mind to figure out what happened, and directing myself to the physical act of writing it out, applying self-forgiveness, and self-correcting myself. I commit myself to embrace these moments of my beliefs getting blown apart, face myself, and then realign myself with what is best.
When and as I see that I am attempting to go into my positive beliefs about Honesty as indicated by me looking to get a positive energetic experience of Hope, I stop and breathe. I realize that my beliefs about honesty are lies – they are bullshit stories and phrases that I have told myself in an attempt to get out of facing the physical consequences of things I’ve done and/or participated in that I’m having a negative emotional reaction to. I realize that I’ve automated this at this point – that I will have the negative experience and then immediately seek out the positive – and it’s easier – it’s quicker and easier to forget than actually taking the time to balance self-honesty with self-responsibility and being an active participant in my self-change.

I commit myself to stop going into my positive beliefs about Honesty and within this stop going for the positive energetic Hope experience as a way to feel better about my negative emotional reaction to something I have done and/or participated in. Instead of going into the belief, I breathe, slow myself down and back myself to my negative emotional experience and investigate why I went into it in the first place – I ask myself questions: Why am I trying to forget about this? Why am I trying to take the easy way out of this? What can I do to actually change this so that I can live in a self-honest, responsible way and not keep creating this sort of consequence for myself? Here, also, I commit myself to writing these points out on paper/screen so I have them in front of me and can work with them in physical reality rather than in my mind where things get foggy or are easily forgotten with distraction.

When and as I see that I am about to automatically go into my mind-purge ‘honesty’ that I have justified and excused with my belief system about honesty, I stop and breathe. I do not go there. I realize that no good will come of this and that the clean-up will be extensive and that some of the damage may be irreparable. This is not something that I want for myself and others.

I commit myself to STOP automatically going into a mind-purge when and as I am asked for honesty. I put a guard over mouth, I breathe, and make certain that I am clear before I speak. When and as I am clear, I direct the question/request of Honesty to a solution focused discussion where I ask questions, investigate what’s going on, share perspectives and suggest solutions.
